Hula hooping hula hoopers

It all started with Grandma's Wii Fit component. Pitufo saw it, played it, and became near obsessed with the hoop workout he did at Grandma's. At home, he was constantly demonstrating just exactly HOW to do the hula hoop. Imagine Pitufo if you will, his skinny little three year old body moving and grooving in just the way the hula hoop should go. But dare not laugh or near giggle, or explode with joy at joy in his interpretation or he retreats into his introverted shell. So stoically, for months, we have been watching this.
Well, what better thing for Santa to bring than a real and actual hula hoop. Purple of course. Pitufo's favorite color. Wouldn't you know my literal and detail oriented three year old breath of a child taught. himself. to HULA HOOP!!!... pause for reflection and imagery.
Yes, it's true. He is a marvel. Even our pediatrician agrees. I mean, do YOU know any self taught three year old hula hoopers? I didn't think so.
Not and never to be outdone, Notorious in typical B-I-G fashion has worked and worked and worked his poor and sad self silly trying to hula hoop as well as Pitufo. To no avail. Until the day before yesterday when he finally got it. So Yaya did what any grandmother would do. She bought that kid a hula hoop. That lights up when you hula hoop with it, I might add.
Yesterday was spent in the backyard watching two tall and agile little boys hula hoop to their hearts' and our hearts' content and delight.
When night fell and after baths, we turned out all the lights, positioned ourselves atop the Martha bed and watched the light and sparkle show of the two hulahoopinghulahoopers. It was a marvel and a wonder to behold.
It goes without saying that Martha AND Yaya have hit up their fitness buff friend for a hoopnotica hoop and lesson. I promise by spring we will be ready for an audience!!
Hoopdeedoo!!
