Praying for a wife

The other night during devotions, Notorious prayed for his tiamia. I don't know if he had overheard our conversations about her needing un hombre or if he just deducted by observation that none exists but he prayed "and Lord, give tiamia a wife". It was all we could do to contain our laughter.
The night before he prayed "Lord, help mama's belly grow us a sister named ------" I nearly cried over that one, if only it were that easy.
Nothing new to report in on...super busy having fun with all three littles at home. They enjoy each other so much. It is such a joy to watch them play together and learn how to be friends. It is amazing how well they all compensate for one another's differences in age and likes. It is easy to imagine the future with them, all so sweet, so gentle natured and yet so different. I am dreading school starting back. And already imagining sending them each off to college. How in the world did my mom do all those big life challenges without effort or sadness that we could see.?? She just seemed to relish in every growth and change we faced and I fancied myslef to be that same kind of mother yet I get so nostalgic and weepy at the thought of them growing up and growing old. I'll never let them see that. I will always put on a brave face and heart, just like the first day of kindergarten. I seriously wasn't sad that day. Little did I know just how much would make me cry as the year went on. Hoping for a better semester come schooltime.
At the moment they are all three down for nap. I have already worked out AND logged over 10,00 steps for the day. Pompey is home on vacation. Life is good.
I wouldn't change a thing.
Except maybe a wife for tiamia!!! Not really, a husband will do just fine although she really needs a wifely husband but that is another martha blog for another martha day...
