Get out of jail free card

That is how I feel today!! Yesterday, we got the news that Notorious has a teacher, albeit another sub, but at least someone who will be there every day starting in January. I was all prepared to home school. Was actually reviewing curriculum and resources that morning but shoo-whee....I am breathing a HUGE sigh of relief. I am competent to teach him at home. I mean HELLO, I DO have a degree in elementary education but wow. A daunting task looking properly after the two littles and doing my own moral justice to the education deserving of such a bright and precocious child. Plus he loves school. Just like me. He loves his friends and his school box and all the things he learns at gym. He even loves school lunches!! More than taking his own Martha must sadly add. Oh well. I still have him with scones.
So, a two week reprieve and then back to the drop off and pick up with the catty moms that I really don't like, well only one I don't like but you know what they say, one bad apple...Let's sit there a moment, shall we.
This woman, really insecure so I forgive her for all I am about to vomit but she has three children, like me, two girls and a boy...and I swear to you EVERY *((&)(*^*)(_ day she makes some comment about BOYS!! You know, you KNOW the type...oh, so and so is a good teacher for boys, you know how BOYS are, so different from girls. NO, miss smarty pants, I do not. And for your suburban information (silent scream here) I don't HAVE "those kinds of boys". My boys can sit still when told (gasp!) they go to the theater, they sword fight and STOP when I tell them to and they are just normal kids. Can I tell you about girls?? No but why does she always need to look at ME with this I know you know what I am saying look when she makes those boy comments. I just shoot her down and say well, I don't know what girls are like so I can't compare with you. Sorry.
Grrrr...she really gets me. That and she talks nonstop from the moment she arrives until at least I leave sucking up all the nice pleasant volleying conversation that was happening before her arrival. Barf.
But at least I am not home schooling.
