A rant

This is a total rant. I have to get this off my chest. I know it is going to sound silly when it is in black and white, or pink and brown as it may be but grrrr...driving me CRAZY!
There is a mom who waits for the porch pick up after school with me and two other moms. One of whom lives in my urba and knows me pretty well. Let's call 1st mom MissB, other Constable's wife.
So, Miss B is PREtty annoying. One of those broads who always has a story to go along with whatever we are talking about, say sick kids, por ejemplo. Except her kids were OH SO much sicker, OH SO much more grave, OH SO much more drama going to the dr...yaddayaddayadda. And once the woman starts talking, she don't shut up.
Of late, she has taken to commenting on my appearance. This flashes me back to high school which was not the best time in my life. The difference being that she apparently thinks I am too dressed up. At first she began inquiring where HAD I been? Or where MUST I be going...?blah blah blah...
Now she just makes offhand remarks about how I make her look like a slob and whatever. I just kind of laugh it off. It makes me extremely uncomfortable. I don't like being under ANYBODY'S microscope, least of all a mere acquaintance and just stop with the comments already. I mean, I am thankful that she isn't making remarks about how fat I am or how I dress bad or something. Although I don't really care what folks in general think, least of all this woman. But, as Yaya so pointedly pointed out today, the fact is she is being critical even though she is trying to appear positive? It is really getting under my skin.
Now, it is not the sweet girl talk that I LOVE that goes something like, "Oh I love your earrings! Where did you get those?" Or "I like the way you put that outfit together. Those colors look great on you!"
Yesterday I intentionally went to porch waitout post late so I could just get Notorious and get back up the hill to my car. What do you think MissB did? Pulled her van around and opened the auto door to MAKE A FREAKIN COMMENT!!! oh and congratulate the B-I-G on yet ANOTHER citizenship award....but still. Leave me alone!
THEN, at the early hour of 7ish am, I am leaving the sacred halls of my child's school when MissB, who normally does carline, comes prancing down the hall toward me. It was all I could do not to roll my eyes. Grrrrr....so she pulls a little "look at you all decked out" comment as she passes by and I try my best to smile sweetly and say good morning.
Ya'll...I had on a black shirt and skirt, red flats and a little scarf around my neck. No makeup, hair just pulled back in a clip that I SLEPT IN!!!!! Honestly...some people.
So Constable's Wife is cracking up when I show up on time today because she figured I was irritated and that is why I didn't show yesterday. Woman knows me better than I thought because that is so what I did...
I have been thinking...I am going to just keep accessorizing to the point of over doing it over the next week or so. THEN, go glam on the makeup for a few days.
THEN, give me the week after spring break to do all this....
I think I am going to put on a tiara and my wedding dress and stand there and look at her like
What??? It's after Easter. A girl can wear white, right?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I double dare you to wear the wedding dress. Good for you, not embarrassing your kids dropping them off all frumpy, with the just rolled out of bed and could barely get the lunch made look. Of course she wants to be your friend--who doesn't??
